As a practicing yoga student since 1997, Jane desired to to create student-oriented studio, so she formed and ran for 10 years the former Hot Yoga of Delray. The Studio earned a reputation for catering to the student and her dedication made it a welcoming space. Circumstances called for it to close. Now with years of experience running a successful studio, she once again has built this new Studio from scratch. She welcomes all to share this space and wants you to think of it as your "Yoga Home Away from Home". "Our Contractors turned this space into a Yoga Studio, our Students & Staff turn it into a Yoga Community"
"Yoga is my passion. I hope you enjoy every experience you have at Hot Yoga of Delray. NAMASTE!"
My journey into yoga began in 1993 when I began practicing. In Spring of 2000, I became a Kripalu (500 Hour Certification) Instructor. After, I became a Bikram Certified Yoga Teacher (500 Hour Certification) alongside Jimmy Barkan in Fall 2001. My other training includes Phoenix Rising Therapy (200 Hour Certification), where I had the privilege to study under Todd Norian, the founder of Anusara.
For Robert, teaching at Hot Yoga of Delray beckons him back to where it all started in - a Hot Class at Hot Yoga of Delray! Since then he has obtained his 500 RYT, became a Certified Teacher in Vinyasa Krama and Yin yoga. His specialties include Power Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow, with a knack for Meditation and Yogic Philosophy. Robert's classes are unique and challenging with a happy helping of laughter and jokes.
Shari began doing yoga over a decade ago, but it wasn't until she practiced in a heated room that she was hooked. Practicing yoga in the heat coupled with inspiring music was intoxicating. Shari practiced Bikram Yoga religiously for 3 years before deciding to get certified an instructor. She trained in Sivananda Yoga at "Yoga and Inner Peace" in Lake Worth which was a life-changing experience. It helped shape who she is both on the mat and off. She learned about proper breathing, exercise, positive thinking, meditation and how to live a healthier life in general.
Jules Lindsay began practicing yoga in 2000 while finishing her BA in clinical psychology from Auburn University. Her teaching career began at the Yoga College of India in Boca Raton where she taught Bikram Yoga from 2002 to 2004. She became RYT 200hr certified in 2005 with Jimmy Barkan and completed her Hot Vinyasa levels I - III (ERYT 500+hrs). She continues to train in workshops / intensives (RYT 500hr training at Yoga South Boca) and is a 2nd degree Reiki practitioner under Robin Garfield. Her teaching styles are influenced by Bikram, Barkan Method, Anuttara, Hot Fusion, Anusara, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Vinyasa, Power and Yin Yoga. And her happiest mentor & faithful sidekick, Buddha-bella (her Yellow Lab Canine Companion). Follow them at: #KissesToBuddha.
Allison Alexander was born and raised in South Florida. Her passions were always found in nature and the ocean. When she attended her first yoga class, she found something she did not even know she was searching for. Yoga quenched her need for something more therapeutic for her body, healing for her heart, and enlightening for her mind. She was able to overcome an incredibly dark part of her life through the practice of Yoga and she wanted others to experience the magical effects she had found.
Alli made the decision to deepen her own practice by completing her first 200-hour Teacher Training at Om Joyful Yoga in Cooper City, Florida. She thought she was going to learn the history and philosophy for herself but could not help the desire to share what she had learned. There she developed a soft yet powerful style of teaching that incorporates both the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga, connecting mind body and soul.
She then went on to complete 500 hours Teacher Training at the Anuttara Yoga Shala in Delray Beach. And is now dedicating her life to sharing this practice through teaching.
Allison now specializes in Hatha, Bikram and Vinyasa Yoga. Her mission in life is to inspire, enlighten and elevate those who surround her. By way of her own practice and teachings of the yogic texts, she hopes to lead her students to self-transformation and inner peace through the beautiful practice of yoga.
Heather has been practicing yoga for over a decade and deepened into her practice in 2010 while obtaining her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School. She always knew that there was something more for her with yoga and found it during her 1st Kundalini yoga class under the full moon in August 2021. She experienced a Kundalini awakening and found her passion. Heather enrolled in training with Yoga Farm Ithaca shortly thereafter and received her 200 Hour Certification in Kundalini yoga and meditation this May. She continues to train in workshops and trainings to deepen her knowledge and recently completed a 40 Hour Trauma Informed Yoga Certificate with My Vinyasa Practice. Heather guides practice from her experience of Kundalini yoga as a path of love to love and a path of joy to joy that helps us to actualize our higher selves. Her practices are an uplifting blend of Kundalini kriyas, breathwork, application of yogic locks, deep relaxation, mantra, and meditation designed to relax and restore your mind, body and spirit.
